Enter the Battery Blitz Challenge

school-recycling-contest-actionREGISTER to participate: Complete the below form to register!  Participating classes must be registered no later than National Battery Day (February 18, 2016).

REVIEW the “Collection Kit” program materials: All registered classes will receive a battery recycling “collection kit” the week of February 29, 2016.  The kit will include everything you’ll need to know about collecting batteries for recycling.

INFORM Students, Faculty & Staff:  Encourage students, school faculty or staff to bring used batteries in from home to recycle!

COLLECT household batteries:  Begin collecting batteries for recycling!  Please note:  If you need additional collection boxes, please contact Call2Recycle’s Customer Service Department at 1-877-723-1297 or email customerservice@call2recycle.org.

SEND in the collection boxes:  To count towards the “Battery Blitz” Challenge, all collection boxes must be sent in no later than April 1, 2016.  Call2Recycle will weigh the boxes and the class that collects the most used batteries by weight per student will be rewarded with a special celebration (one winning class per county). The winner of the “Battery Blitz” Challenge will be announced and receive their special prize in May 2016!
